Kiel in the north of Germany, not far from Hamburg is know as being a perfect spot for sailing - situated directly at the Baltic Sea. Kiel has been the venue for the Olympic Games in Sailing many years ago.

It is very easy to get to Kiel. Take the plane to Hamburg International Airport (HAM) - flights from more than 140 cities end here.

Directly from the airport a bus to Kiel departs - taking you there directly within 1 hour at affordable prices. Timetable...

Alternatively you can of course rent a car and drive up to the north, which will take you an hour as well.
